 This commissioned portrait of the billionaire Mrs. William Harrison (maiden name Mona Bismark) was altered! Don't worry, Dali made the change himself. Mrs. Harrison was well-known throughout elite society for her exquisite fashion sense. To her astonishment, when Dali revealed the portrait she discovered that he had painted her nude! She was mortified and demanded that Dali change the painting, at which point he added a shabby, frayed black dress.
